Ubiquiti E7 | UniFi E7 Access Point
A tri-band WiFi 7 access point for high-density indoor spaces that have 10 GbE switching infrastructure and a large number of concurrent clients.
Why this one
- Ten spatial streams across three radios — 4×4 on both 6 GHz and 5 GHz, 2×2 on 2.4 GHz — means the AP can serve significantly more simultaneous clients before performance degrades compared to 4- or 8-stream designs.
- The 6 GHz radio hits 11.5 Gbps at 320 MHz channel width, and the 10 GbE uplink is what it takes to not bottleneck that throughput at the cable run back to the switch.
- A second 1 GbE port provides a redundant uplink path, so a single cable failure doesn't drop the AP — relevant in any environment where wireless downtime has a real cost.
- Supports 1,000+ concurrent clients across 185 m², which positions it for conference centres, lecture theatres, and open-plan floors where client counts are genuinely high rather than just aspirational.
Good fit if you're deploying into a high-density environment — a large office floor, university building, or event venue — and your switching layer already runs 10 GbE or you're planning to add it.
Worth considering something else if your switch ports top out at 2.5 GbE, because the U7-PRO draws PoE+ rather than PoE++ and will get you strong WiFi 7 performance without requiring a switch upgrade to unlock the uplink.
What you'll also need
A UniFi switch with a PoE++ (802.3bt) port rated to at least 43W and a 10 GbE uplink port — the USW-ENT-24-POE or USW-ENT-48-POE are the natural pairings — plus Cat6A cabling to the mounting point; the Pro Mount is included and supports ceiling, wall, or VESA installation. If you're comparing with the E7-AUDIENCE variant listed on this page, note that it is a different product at a higher price band and is intended for audience-facing deployments rather than general enterprise coverage.
