Ubiquiti EAH-8 | EdgeAccess Hub 8
A wall-mounted access control hub for buildings that need centralised management of up to eight doors from a single hardwired panel.
Why this one
- Eight PoE+ outputs at 30W per port mean readers, intercoms and door controllers all draw power and data from the one panel — no separate PoE injectors scattered across the building.
- Built-in battery backup support keeps all eight doors operational during a mains outage, which matters anywhere access control is a safety or compliance requirement.
- Support for up to 10,000 users means it scales from a small office to a large commercial tenancy without needing a second hub or a tier upgrade.
- Four AUX dry-contact terminals let you wire in chimes, sirens or automatic door openers alongside the eight lock outputs, reducing the need for separate relay hardware.
Good fit if you're fitting out a commercial building, campus or facility with four to eight controlled doors and want a single managed panel that handles power, locking, readers and sensors under UniFi Access.
Worth considering something else if you're controlling fewer than four doors — the UA-G3-SK or UA-G3-SK-PRO starter kits cover smaller deployments without committing to a full panel install, and the EAH-8 is indoor-rated only, so any outdoor enclosure requirement needs separate planning.
What you'll also need
UniFi Access readers (UA-G3 or UA-G3-PRO at each door), a compatible door lock per opening, a UniFi gateway or Cloud Gateway running UniFi Access, and Cat5e or better to each reader and lock position — cable runs up to 100m for electric locks on 18 AWG.
