Worth considering something else if you're after dedicated, multi-drive Protect recording capacity — the UNVR or UNVR-PRO are built for that and give you more storage headroom than a single M.2 slot.

A compatible M.2 NVMe SSD (sold separately) and a Cloud Gateway Max, Cloud Gateway Fiber, or supported UNAS appliance to install it into — the tray on its own doesn't add storage without the drive.
