Ubiquiti UDB-SWITCH | UniFi Device Bridge Switch
A compact 8-port PoE+ switch with built-in WiFi 7 wireless uplink, for connecting wired devices in spots where running a cable back to your core switch isn't practical.
Why this one
- The wireless uplink runs on 6 GHz WiFi 7 at up to 5.8 Gbps, so the backhaul to your UniFi access point doesn't become the bottleneck when several 2.5 GbE devices are active simultaneously.
- All eight ports deliver PoE+ at up to 30W each, meaning cameras, access readers, and VoIP phones connect without separate injectors — the total PoE budget scales to 185W with the larger power adapter.
- The 10 GbE uplink port handles the aggregated load from seven 2.5 GbE downstream ports without congestion, which matters when you're running multiple high-throughput devices off one unit.
- At 212.9 × 113 × 32.5 mm and rated to −30°C operating temperature, it sits on a desk or mounts to a wall in locations where a full rack switch isn't an option.
Good fit if you need to extend wired PoE+ connectivity to a room or area where a cable run back to your core switch is impractical, and you already have a UniFi WiFi 7 access point nearby to serve as the wireless uplink.
Worth considering something else if you have conduit or ceiling access to run a physical uplink — a conventional switch like the USW-LITE-8-POE will give you a more predictable wired path and doesn't depend on wireless backhaul quality for reliability.
What you'll also need
A UniFi WiFi 7 access point within range to carry the wireless uplink, UniFi Network version 10.0.156 or later running on your controller, and a power adapter — the included 54V/1.1A adapter provides 35W total PoE budget; a 210W adapter (sold separately) is required if you intend to use the full 185W PoE availability across all ports.
