A 4K outdoor dome camera for sites that need both long-range night vision and resistance to deliberate physical interference.
Why this one
- The 1/1.8" sensor drives 40m of IR night vision — the same large-format sensor found in the G6 Bullet, which is what separates usable darkness coverage from nominal figures.
- IK10 tamper resistance means the housing withstands a direct strike, making it the appropriate choice for car parks, stairwells, and anywhere a camera is within reach of people who'd rather not be recorded.
- A 109.9° horizontal field of view covers a wide area from a single ceiling or wall mount, reducing the number of cameras needed to cover a lobby, loading dock, or open floor.
- On-device AI runs person and vehicle detection without offloading to the NVR, so alerts stay timely even when your recorder is handling several other streams simultaneously.
Good fit if you're mounting to a ceiling or soffit where a dome profile sits flush, need vandal resistance as well as weatherproofing, and you already have a UniFi Protect NVR or plan to add one.
Worth considering something else if you need to cover a long, narrow approach at distance — the UVC-G6-BULLET's forward-facing optics suit that geometry better than a wide-angle dome — or if you're covering a doorway at close range where the field of view here is more than necessary.
What you'll also need
A UniFi Protect NVR (UNVR or UNVR-PRO, or a Dream Machine with Protect built in), a PoE switch or injector on the 42.5–57V range, and outdoor-rated Cat5e or better to the mounting point; a microSD card of at least 64GB is required if you want local storage on the camera itself, and the camera is available in white or black.
