A 4K outdoor bullet camera for sites that need 30m night coverage and can run PoE cabling to the mounting point.
Why this one
- The 1/1.8" sensor is physically larger than the 1/2.8" sensors in the G5 Bullet, which is what makes 30m of IR night vision usable rather than nominal — enough to cover a driveway or loading bay approach.
- A 109.9° horizontal field of view at 4K means you're getting wide coverage without sacrificing the detail needed to identify a face or read a number plate at distance.
- IP66 weatherproofing and a -20 to 50°C operating range mean it handles direct rain, dust, and an Australian summer roof mount without a separate housing.
- The on-camera AI engine classifies people and vehicles locally, so detection events don't depend on your NVR's processing headroom.
Good fit if you're covering an outdoor approach, car park, yard, or perimeter run where useful range sits between 10 and 30m, and you have a UniFi Protect NVR already in place or plan to add one.
Worth considering something else if you're watching a doorway, reception area, or any tight indoor space — the G6 Turret suits close-range fixed positions better and doesn't need the wall clearance that a bullet housing requires.
What you'll also need
A UniFi Protect NVR (UNVR or a Dream Machine with Protect built in), a PoE switch or injector supplying 802.3af or better, and outdoor-rated Cat5e or better to the mounting point; the wall and pole mount are included, but a junction box or angled base is sold separately if your install needs one.
