A 4K outdoor bullet camera with optical zoom and a large-format sensor, for sites where long runs, variable framing, or demanding night conditions rule out a fixed-lens camera.
Why this one
- The 1/1.2" sensor is physically larger than the 1/1.8" sensors in the G6 Bullet, pulling in more light and making 40m of IR night vision genuinely usable rather than marginal at the edges.
- 2.36x optical zoom lets you frame a driveway gate tight or pull back to cover the whole forecourt — without degrading resolution the way digital zoom does.
- AI detection runs on the camera's quad-core processor, so person and vehicle classification happens at the edge and doesn't depend on your NVR's processing headroom.
- IP66 weatherproofing and a -20 to 50°C operating range mean it handles direct rain, coastal conditions, and unshaded roof-line mounting without additional housing.
Good fit if you're covering a long approach, a car park, or any outdoor zone where you want the option to reframe without physically remounting the camera, and you already have a UniFi Protect NVR or plan to add one.
Worth considering something else if you're covering a fixed, close-range scene — the G6 Bullet handles that without the PoE+ requirement, and the zoom capability goes unused at short distances.
What you'll also need
A UniFi Protect NVR (UNVR or a Dream Machine with Protect), a PoE+ capable switch or injector (standard 802.3af won't meet the 15W draw), and outdoor-rated Cat5e or better to the mounting point; wall and pole mounts are included, with a junction box or angled base sold separately if your installation needs them. Available in white or black.
