A 4K outdoor turret camera with 2.36x optical zoom and 40m IR night vision, for sites where a wide-to-tele range and a low-profile housing both matter.
Why this one
- The 1/1.2" sensor is physically larger than those in the standard G6 Turret, pulling in enough light to make 40m of IR night vision genuinely usable rather than washed-out at the edges.
- 2.36x optical zoom shifts the field of view from 113.8° wide to a 45.5° tele angle, so you can frame a tight shot at the gate without a second camera.
- The on-camera AI processor handles person and vehicle detection locally, reducing the processing load on your NVR and keeping alerts useful rather than constant.
- IP66 weatherproofing and IK04 tamper resistance together mean it handles direct rain and a casual knock without failing — relevant if it's mounted within reach.
Good fit if you're covering a building entrance, driveway or courtyard where you need both wide situational coverage and the ability to zoom into a specific point of interest, and you already have a UniFi Protect NVR or plan to add one.
Worth considering something else if you need continuous pan-tilt-zoom control across a large open area — the UVC-G6-PTZ handles that use case, and if you only need a fixed wide view without optical zoom, the standard UVC-G6-TURRET covers the same form factor at a lower price band.
What you'll also need
A UniFi Protect NVR (UNVR or a Dream Machine with Protect), a PoE+ capable switch or injector, and outdoor-rated Cat5e or better to the mounting point; ceiling and wall mounts are included, with arm, pendant and junction box options sold separately. Available in white or black.
