Ubiquiti NBE-2AC-13 | airMAX NanoBeam 2AC
A 2.4 GHz point-to-multipoint station for outdoor wireless links where range matters more than peak throughput and 5 GHz coverage is already congested or blocked.
Why this one
- 2.4 GHz propagates through foliage and around soft obstructions that stop a 5 GHz link dead, so this is the practical choice when the path isn't completely clear.
- 13 dBi integrated antenna and 150+ Mbps throughput support links beyond 10 km — enough for a farm outbuilding, remote gate, or inter-site backhaul that rules out cable.
- The 24V passive PoE adapter is included, so you can power the unit directly from the supplied injector without needing an 802.3af switch at the far end.
- Rated to survive 200 km/h winds and salt fog tested to IEC 68-2-11, so it holds up in coastal or exposed rural installs without additional weatherproofing.
Good fit if you're bridging two buildings or extending connectivity to a remote point across a partially obstructed path up to 10+ km, and the link will operate in a 2.4 GHz environment with manageable interference.
Worth considering something else if you have a clear line of sight and need maximum throughput — the airMAX LiteBeam 5AC Long-Range (LBE-5AC-LR) operates on the less congested 5 GHz band and suits clean point-to-point links in the same price band.
What you'll also need
A matching NanoBeam 2AC or compatible airMAX radio at the far end, outdoor-rated Cat5e or better for the PoE run, and a UISP or airOS-capable controller to manage the link; the pole mount kit is included, but a wall mount or window mount is sold separately if the installation point doesn't suit a pole.
