Ubiquiti U7-PRO-XG | UniFi U7 Pro XG | WiFi 7 | 10 GbE | PoE+
A ceiling-mounted WiFi 7 access point for high-density spaces where the switch infrastructure already runs 10 GbE and wireless throughput is the bottleneck.
Why this one
- The 10 GbE uplink means the backhaul won't cap aggregate wireless throughput — relevant when 6 GHz alone can reach 5.8 Gbps across a 320 MHz channel with WiFi 7 clients.
- Three concurrent radios across 6 GHz, 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz with 6 spatial streams total lets the AP steer traffic across bands rather than stacking clients onto one.
- 300+ client capacity across 140 m² makes it sized for conference rooms, open-plan offices and retail floors where device counts spike mid-session.
- At 22W it sits within 802.3at PoE+ budget — no need for a PoE++ port or injector if your switch already delivers that standard.
Good fit if you're deploying into a space with an existing 10 GbE switch fabric, expect a high density of WiFi 7 clients, and need a single AP to carry the full load of a medium-sized open area.
Worth considering something else if your switch ports top out at 1 or 2.5 GbE, the U7-PRO connects over 2.5 GbE and the 10 GbE uplink here would be unused capacity for that infrastructure.
What you'll also need
A UniFi switch with at least one 10 GbE PoE+ port (such as the USW-ENT-8-POE or USW-FLEX-XG), Cat6A cabling to the mounting point, and a UniFi Network controller running version 9.0.114 or later; a Lite Mount is included, and the AP is available in white or black.
