Why this one
- The 8MP camera with a 118.2° diagonal field of view captures the full width of a doorway or gate approach, so you get a clear frame of who is there before a door is released.
- NFC at 13.56 MHz supports MIFARE, FeliCa, and Apple/Google ECP 2.0, meaning staff can tap in with an existing card, phone, or watch — no separate credential hardware needed at the entry point.
- IP65 weatherproofing and a -30 to 60°C operating range mean the unit runs through Australian summers and cold-climate winters without a protective housing over it.
- At 13W over PoE, it runs from a standard PoE port on any UniFi switch, so there's no separate power circuit to run to the mounting point.
Good fit if you're managing entry to a commercial building, apartment complex, or secure facility that already uses UniFi Access — or is being set up with it — and you need visitor call, credential tap, and camera capture at a single entry point.
Worth considering something else if you only need card or mobile credential reading without a display or intercom function, in which case the UA-G3 or UA-G3-FLEX is a simpler fit and sits in a lower price band.
What you'll also need
A UniFi Access controller (UA-G2-SK, UA-G3-SK, or a Dream Machine running the Access application), a PoE-capable switch or injector, and Cat5e or better to the mounting point; optional surface angle mount, flush mount, or sunshield accessories are sold separately.
