A complete gate access kit — controller, intercom, power adapter, and two 2-wire extenders — for a single gate where running new Cat5e isn't practical.
Why this one
- The two included 2-wire Retrofit Extenders carry PoE over existing coaxial or twisted-pair wiring, so you can power and connect the intercom without pulling new cable to the gate post.
- The Gate Hub supports up to 6,000 users and holds two dry-contact relay outputs for the gate operator plus a separate 12V powered output for a side door lock, covering a gated entry with a pedestrian gate in one controller.
- The G3 Intercom is IP65-rated with NFC and BLE 4.2, so visitors can present a phone or card at the gate without touching a keypad, and the unit handles rain and dust without a separate enclosure.
- Ten Touch Pass licences are included for the first year, giving mobile credentials to up to ten users immediately without a separate subscription purchase.
Good fit if you're adding managed access to a vehicle gate with an adjacent pedestrian entry, already have a UniFi Access deployment or plan one, and want to reuse existing 2-wire wiring runs rather than re-cable.
Worth considering something else if you need access control across multiple doors inside a building rather than a gate — the UA-G3-SK covers a single door entry point and sits in a lower price band, making it a better fit where a Gate Hub's relay outputs and 2-wire extenders aren't needed.
What you'll also need
A UniFi Access host — either a UniFi Dream Machine running the Access application or a dedicated UA host — plus a gate operator with a dry-contact input, Cat5e from your switch to the Gate Hub (the included PoE++ adapter handles power if your switch doesn't supply PoE++), and a junction box if the Gate Hub is mounted outdoors.
