A five-port managed PoE switch for locations where running a separate power cable isn't practical — it takes PoE in and distributes PoE+ to four downstream ports.

Why this one

• It draws power from a PoE++ uplink rather than a mains socket, so you can place a switch at a ceiling mount, pole, or cabinet where there's no power outlet nearby.
• With a PoE++ or 60W adapter input, all four downstream ports share up to 46W total — enough to run four access points or cameras without a separate injector at each one.
• The operating temperature range of -40 to 55 °C at full PoE output makes it genuinely outdoor-rated, not just weather-tolerant, which matters for exposed enclosures and external cable runs.
• Supports up to 1,000 VLANs and manages through UniFi Network alongside the rest of your stack, so you're not adding a separate management interface for a small remote switch.

Good fit if you need to extend a few PoE ports to a location that already has a PoE++ capable uplink — a ceiling AP cluster, an outdoor camera cluster, or a small remote cabinet — and running a new power circuit isn't on the table.

Worth considering something else if you need more than four downstream ports or higher aggregate PoE budget, in which case the USW-LITE-8-POE gives you eight PoE ports and a larger power pool from a mains connection.

What you'll also need

A PoE++ capable uplink switch or a 60W PoE adapter (sold separately) to power the USW-Flex itself; without a PoE++ source, PoE output to downstream devices is reduced to 8W total, which won't run most access points or cameras.
