Good fit if you're building or expanding a UniFi network around a rack or wall cabinet, need clean inter-VLAN routing at the access layer, and the work environment rules out fan noise.
Worth considering something else if you need PoE on the access ports — this switch delivers none, so look at the USW-PRO-24-POE instead, which carries the same uplink and Layer 3 capability with PoE+ on all 24 ports.
What you'll also need
A UniFi gateway or Dream Machine to manage the switch via UniFi Network (version 5.12.11 or later), SFP+ transceivers or DAC cables for the uplink ports, a standard 1U rack or cabinet with 400–1200mm depth, and a UniFi RPS if you want DC power backup for the switch.
