A 24-port Layer 3 managed switch for rack installations that need to run a mix of standard and high-draw PoE devices from a single unit.
Why this one
- Eight ports deliver up to 60W each (802.3bt PoE++), so access points, PTZ cameras and other high-draw devices get full power without a separate injector at each run.
- 400W total PoE availability across all 24 ports gives you headroom to run a dense camera or AP deployment without rationing ports or adding a second switch.
- Two 10G SFP+ uplinks let you connect to an aggregation switch or NVR at 10G, keeping the uplink from becoming the bottleneck as port utilisation climbs.
- The front-panel 1.3" touchscreen shows per-port status and power draw without opening the UniFi dashboard — useful when you're standing in front of the rack.
Good fit if you're building out a rack for a mid-sized office, warehouse or multi-camera Protect deployment where a mix of PoE+ and PoE++ devices need to share one switch and you want Layer 3 static routing between VLANs without a separate router hop.
Worth considering something else if your devices are all standard 802.3af/at and none need PoE++ — the USW-PRO-24 carries the same port count and 10G uplinks without the PoE++ hardware, and sits in a lower price band.
What you'll also need
A UniFi gateway or controller running UniFi Network 5.10.5 or later, 1U of rack space, and Cat5e or better to each PoE device.
