Worth considering something else if you need broad perimeter surveillance rather than lane-specific plate capture — the UVC-AI-PRO's 3x optical zoom covers a similar focal range but is optimised for general 4K scene detail rather than LPR, and for wide-area coverage the UVC-G6-180 or UVC-AI-360 will serve better without the LPR overhead.
What you'll also need
A UniFi Protect NVR (UNVR, UNVR-PRO, or a Dream Machine with Protect), a PoE+ capable switch or injector, outdoor-rated Cat5e or better to the mounting point, and a microSD card of at least 64GB if you want local edge storage; wall, ceiling and pole mounts are included, but a junction box or angled base requires a separate accessory if your mounting surface needs one.
