• IPX4 splash resistance holds up under a covered eave or in a car park stairwell, though it is not rated for direct rain exposure, so placement matters.
• IR illumination reaches 6m, which suits corridors, reception areas, and covered entries at typical indoor distances rather than open outdoor spans.

Good fit if you're covering interior spaces, covered outdoor areas, or low-ceiling spots where a wide-angle 2K feed is more useful than long-range night vision, and you already have a UniFi Protect NVR or plan to add one.

Worth considering something else if your mounting point is exposed to direct weather or you need night vision beyond 6m — the G5 Bullet (UVC-G5-BULLET) carries IP55 and reaches further, or the G6 Bullet (UVC-G6-BULLET) steps up to 4K and IP66 for fully exposed outdoor runs.
