A compact 2K PTZ camera for outdoor locations where you need to track movement across a wide area from a single mounting point.

Why this one

• 350° pan and 100° tilt covers nearly any angle from one fixed mount — useful on a corner post or building fascia where repositioning a fixed camera isn't practical.
• Automatic person tracking follows subjects across the frame without manual joystick input, so a single camera can do the work of two or three overlapping fixed units.
• IP66 weatherproofing and a –30 to 45°C operating range means it handles Australian summers and alpine winters without a housing or shelter.
• 2x optical zoom shifts the field of view from 99.7° wide to 45.5° tele without the quality loss of digital zoom, which matters when you need readable footage at distance.

Good fit if you're covering a car park, yard, or open perimeter where subjects move laterally and a fixed camera would need multiple units to match the coverage — and you have a PoE+ switch or injector at the mounting point, since this draws up to 14W.

Worth considering something else if your priority is static wide-area coverage rather than active tracking, in which case a fixed bullet or turret camera suits the job better and will run on standard 802.3af PoE rather than requiring PoE+.

What you'll also need

A UniFi Protect NVR — the UNVR or UNVR-PRO, or a compatible Dream Machine such as the UDM-PRO — a PoE+ switch or injector, and outdoor-rated Cat5e or better to the mounting point; wall and pole mounts are included, but optional in-ceiling, pendant, and corner mounts are sold separately, and the black variant (UVC-G5-PTZ-B) is a separate SKU at a higher price if colour matching matters.
