A 4K PTZ camera for sites that need active tracking or long-reach zoom, and can supply PoE+ at the mounting point.
Why this one
- Both the wide and tele lenses use 1/1.8" 8MP sensors, so you're getting full 4K detail whether you're watching a broad scene or zoomed in tight — neither view compromises on resolution.
- The 10x hybrid zoom (5x optical plus 2x digital) combined with a 350° pan and 100° tilt range means a single camera can cover what would otherwise take two or three fixed units.
- IP66 weatherproofing and a -30 to 50°C operating range make it genuinely suitable for exposed outdoor positions — rooftops, carparks, loading docks — without an additional housing.
- On-camera AI processing handles motion tracking and person/vehicle detection locally, so the NVR isn't doing the heavy lifting every time something moves in frame.
Good fit if you're covering a large outdoor area — a yard, car park, or building perimeter — where you need one camera to actively follow movement or zoom into detail that fixed cameras would miss at that distance.
Worth considering something else if you only need a fixed wide view or close-range indoor coverage, where a G6 Bullet or G6 Turret does the job without the PTZ overhead — and note that this camera draws 24.5W, so it requires PoE+, not standard 802.3af.
What you'll also need
A UniFi Protect NVR (UNVR, UNVR-PRO, or a compatible Dream Machine), a PoE+ switch or injector supplying at least 25W, and outdoor-rated Cat5e or better to the mounting point; optional mounts including corner, in-ceiling, and pendant are sold separately, and a MicroSD card can provide local backup storage if needed. Available in white or black.
