A 4K outdoor turret camera for entrances, corridors and medium-range outdoor zones where a low-profile housing and wide field of view matter more than long throw.
Why this one
- The 1/1.8" sensor is physically larger than the 1/2.8" sensors in the G4 range, which is what makes the 30m IR night vision figure usable rather than optimistic in a dimly lit courtyard or entry.
- A 109.9° horizontal field of view covers a full doorway or corridor intersection in a single shot, so you're not stitching two cameras together to close a gap.
- AI detection runs on the camera's quad-core processor, classifying people and vehicles at the edge — your NVR handles recording, not the detection workload.
- IP66 weatherproofing and IK04 tamper resistance mean it handles direct rain and opportunistic interference without a separate protective housing.
Good fit if you're covering building entrances, car park access points, or indoor–outdoor transition zones at ranges up to 30m, and you already have a UniFi Protect NVR or plan to add one.
Worth considering something else if you need to cover a long open run beyond 30m — the G6 Bullet's directional housing suits that throw better — or if you have no NVR yet, as this camera cannot record on its own.
What you'll also need
A UniFi Protect NVR (UNVR or UNVR-PRO, or a compatible Dream Machine gateway), a PoE switch such as the USW-LITE-8-POE or larger, and outdoor-rated Cat5e or better run to the mounting point; ceiling and wall mounts are included, with arm, pendant and junction box mounts sold separately. Available in white or black.
